Methods for the installation of cut vinyl stickers

There are two types of installation methods adhesive vinyl and both have their advantages and disadvantages.

The most common way to install the labels is the dry method. The dry method ensure that your stay vinyl decal attached to the surface wherever you place it. This is because there is no possibility that the liquid trapped between the vinyl decal and the surface where you want to place that genrarlmente ends in water bubbles. The only drawback with dry installation method is that you have only one chance to make the correct installation leaving no room for mistakes. Once the vinyl decal is applied to the surface, it can not be removed without damaging the vinyl.

The alternative method of installing your vinyl decal is the method of wet installation. The advantage of using the wet method installation is that you can stick and peel off the times you want to achieve desired position, provided that the decal and the surface is still wet.

DRY INSTALLATION 

1. Do not install your vinyl decal in direct sunlight. It is recommended to install your vinyl decal in a garage or building.
2. Ambient temperature.
3. Your tracing is designed to be placed on the surface
4. Do not store your vinyl decal in direct sunlight.

Materials needed
- Installation squeegee, or bank card video games (pliable plastic)
- Scotch tape
- Rule.
- Scissors or cutter

Preparation
Remove all dirt, grease and / or wax surface before installing your vinyl decal. If it's about a vehicle that includes wax car washes, Turtle Wax, the X rain, composite, etc. The new adhesive vinyl will not adhere properly if you do not have an area of ​​clean installation.

Watch Out! Do not use ammonia-based cleaners. That will come out of gas for a couple of weeks and create bubbles in your vinyl decal.

STEP 1.
Using a squeegee on a table, and press hard on the sticker around the positioner ensure the well stuck to the vinyl decal. Once finished, place the decal on the surface.

STEP 2.
Place pieces of tape on the top of the label "positioner" and the surface to keep the label in place. Measure with a ruler or tape measure to ensure that your calc is properly aligned. Once in place, put a long piece of ribbon through the decal in the center, as shown below. Remove the tape from one side of the label surface and create a hinge.

STEP 3.
Lift the hinge, and begin to peel the basis of tracing paper exposing the adhesive side of the label. Just peel the backing paper of the label until the tape that crosses the entire decal.

DO NOT ALLOW the adhesive side of the decal touch the surface.
With scissors or a cutter, cut the base paper near the long piece of tape that crosses the decal. Do not let scissors or a razor to touch the bumper as they may accidentally stick.

STEP 4.
Using your squeegee and starting from the middle where your tape crosses the label, start applying the adhesive side of the label to the vehicle surface. Use horizontal movements of applying the decal alike. Continue smoothing the tracing up and down long horizontal movements ensure the decal is well attached to the surface of the vehicle.

STEP 5.
Now repeat step 2 on the other side of the copy.

STEP 6.
Repeat step 4.

STEP 7.
Remove the last piece of tape. Check the decal with the squeegee, with increasingly difficult movements ensure the decal is well attached to the surface of the vehicle. Slowly begin peeling the positioner paper covering the tracing. Watch closely as the positioner paper is removed.

Final review
To get some detail, wrinkle type, mild off or air bubble, apply heat if it is a closed heat gun or hair dryer environment, or if outdoors with anger correcting heat.

WET INSTALLATION

Materials needed

- Type paper napkin
- Rule.
- Scissors or cutter
- Spraying with water and detergent.

Preparation

STEP 1.
Use liquid spray liberally applying the surface on which you install on your decal. Make sure the surface is completely pulverized. Then apply generously sprayed liquid on the adhesive side of the label.

STEP 2.
Place the (adhesive side down) on the label on the vehicle surface. While the label is wet, you can measure and readjust the decal without damaging it. Once in place, go to the sticker with the spatula with firm strokes pushing the liquid out and ensure the application of the decal is affixed to the vehicle surface. Repeat this several times until most of the liquid applied between the label and the vehicle surface is removed. Try not to move the decal in this step

STEP 3.
Depending on the outside temperature, wait 30 minutes to an hour or more, allowing the adhesive to dry and adhere firmly to the surface of the vehicle.

STEP 4.
Once the label is dry, the positioning start off surface paper of the label. If the decal starts off with positioner paper, reapply the decal with the squeegee (step 2), and wait about 30 minutes before attempting to remove the positioner paper again.

Final review
Now that the positioner paper is removed, make a visual check to ensure all vinyl decal sticks to the surface. It is more than likely to see small bubbles of air or water. You can make a small incision in the vinyl with a razor and use the squeegee to push air or water. Most air bubbles or water will disappear in a few weeks in the heat of the sun. Allow a couple of days in the hot sun for the decal to dry completely before washing or waxing. Your new vinyl decal is already installed!
